Falconcity backs Abu Dhabi realty show

The 5th annual Abu Dhabi Real Estate and Investment Show (IREIS 2009), to be held from January 27 to 29, will witness the showcasing of several key projects like the Falconcity of Wonders.

The show will occupy an exhibiting space of 12,800 sq m, which is an increase of 28 per cent when compared to the 2008 edition.

Salem Al Moosa, Falconcity of Wonders CEO, said the show will be a good time for local as well as regional companies to demonstrate their commitment to their customers.

Falconcity of Wonders is a purpose-built mega project within Dubailand, featuring structures based on famous sites and the architectural marvels of the world, such as the Pyramids, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

The city is shaped to represent the falcon, emblematic of the UAE's heritage. The project is spread over an area more than 40 m sq ft and will combine various commercial, residential, educational and leisure amenities with entertainment facilities.

It will also include apartments, villas, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, health clubs and spas, and schools and parks.

Falconcity of Wonders presence will give a big boost to the local industry. "By being present at IREIS 2009 is proof enough of our professional capabilities," Al Moosa noted.

Being the first property development shows for the year, IREIS 2009 will become the barometer of where the local market will be headed next, he added.
